Two simple ways to order Paragard for your patients

Paragard DirectSM is our “Buy and Bill” option for ordering Paragard that allows you to take advantage of volume discount pricing.

  • With Paragard DirectSM, you can:
    • create an account
    • order online, by fax or by phone
    • ship to one or more locations
    • take advantage of Volume Discount Pricing

To get started:

With the Paragard Specialty PharmacySM program, your patient’s prescription for Paragard is fulfilled through one of our specialty pharmacies and shipped directly to your office.

  • The specialty pharmacy will:
    • process the claim with your patient’s health insurer
    • collect any applicable co-pay for the unit, if needed
    • ship Paragard directly to your office
  • Your office bills only for clinical services related to insertion

To order through a specialty pharmacy:

  1. Download our Specialty Pharmacy Request Form
  2. Complete the form and fax it back to your chosen specialty pharmacy

Indication

Paragard is a copper-containing IUS (intrauterine system) indicated for the prevention of pregnancy for up to 10 years.

Important Safety Information

  • Paragard must not be used by women who had a post-pregnancy or post-abortion uterine infection in the past 3 months; have cancer of the uterus or cervix; acute pelvic inflammatory disease (PID); an infection of the cervix; an allergy to any component (including copper); or Wilson's disease.
  • If a woman misses her period, she must be promptly evaluated for ectopic pregnancy.
  • Possible serious complications that have been associated with IUSs are PID, embedment, perforation of the uterus, and expulsion.
  • Paragard must not be used by pregnant women as this can be life threatening and may result in loss of pregnancy or infertility.
  • Menstrual cycles may become heavier and longer with intermenstrual spotting. Bleeding may be heavier than usual at first.
  • Paragard does not protect against HIV or STIs.
